sun day cloudy

goddamn it's been a rough day.
last night was a long one, didn't get to bed until late, so i didn't wake up today.

did some philosophy reading, caught up, still got stats.
boring as fuck.

been listening to a lot of music lately.
thinking about music lately.
got a new phone lately.
(sidenote: i lost some numbers, so if i haven't called you in awhile, gimme a ring.)

it's a motorola z9.
i don't really have much to say about phones, but i like the one i have.
when shopping for a phone with my mom, she made a gesture towards the newest blackberry smartphone.

all i had to say was, "i don't need a blackberry, i don't even have a fucking job."
the cashier thought it was funny. then someone suggested he coach little league.
i don't agree, he makes a very good at&t representative.

i've learned some things about people's opinions.
they never want to change them. honestly, i think i have changed my mind about every fucking thing in my life at least once. people are too afraid to be wrong. i say, fuck that.

socrates was right.

i also think that people are rushing through their lives. people say "life's too fast."
no.
you're moving too fast. when you waste all your time with television and mindless work, it's going to seem like life is moving too fast. honestly, each time you watch TV, think to yourself, "will i want to look back upon this moment when i'm on my deathbed?"

it might be morbid. it might be right.

i really need to get a camera.
thats the first thing that i'm going to buy once i get a job.
maybe an older model.
what a really want is a polaroid. something antique. something cheap.

problem: consumer digital cameras don't capture images like older cameras did.
problem: professional digital camers are too expensive.
problem: i'm really too lazy (poor) to go develop pictures.
answer: polaroid.

problem: they don't make em anymore.

oh well. consumerism has once again murdered something great.

another thing i need is a record player.
that's only minor, however.

i need a new hobby.
i'm thinking glass-blowing or unicycles.

tea and jazz

a new friend of mine took me to tisane, a tea and booze joint located in hartford.

i was instantly impressed.
i have never seen such an extensive tea selection, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
there was a outside patio to go out and smoke and drink.
later on in the evening, a jazz band preformed in the more lounge-ish area.
pretty busy and loud, but just the fucking coolest little place.

all this, and the menu is actually reasonably priced.

i ordered a cup of oolong tea and some chocolate fondue.
it was yummy.
the jazz was relaxing.
the floor was dusty.
my only caution is that their food selection is very limited.

so, now you must go there with me.
we shall rejoice.

whining and dining,

korg'd

well, today was kinda productive.

i woke up with 3 hours of sleep and drove to webcomics weekend in northhampton.
i met some friends there.
i'll talk more about that later on.

on the way back, my pal tuzzio suggested we stop at his place and pick up "some old synth...thing"

this is what he gave me:

(NOTE: not an actual pic of the synth, but the same model...so...yeah)

i was very very very surprised.
very.

anyway, this means that i have a synth (on loan) which means that in the future, non-shitty keyboard sounds may be heard.

no promises.

anyway, expect a post soon.

love yall

eclipsed

i'm sitting here, bloggin.'
i attempted to beat world eight of the original mario today.
i failed.

that's about all i did today.
my other options involved "anime club" and watching a movie.

so really, yeah. not much to do.

i have no plans for this weekend.
i have no plans for this weekend.
i have no plans for this weekend.
cum visit me.

the more you know.

ballistic: ecks vs. sever

this was the worst movie i have ever seen.
it wasn't ironically bad.
it wasn't humorously bad.
it was just bad. everything about it was bad.
this poster is the best thing about the movie. (except that it was directed by a man named "kaos")
save yourself from wasting a night watching this movie.
(thank you pete for revealing this terror to me)

it seems that off-campus housing is looking likely for next year.
i'm on the waiting list for housing, and so are several of my friends.
the course of action is obvious.

been up late these past few nights. not real good for me, but smoking outside in the dark silence is somewhat refreshing. very few people stop and just look at things. i've been doing a lot of that.

on a somewhat related note, i've been feeling really good lately.
perhaps it is because i have deactivated my facebook account.
it changes how you waste you time. you waste it in other ways.
if you're a reader who doesn't know to contact me now, you can catch me at bizzarobillhank(at)gmail(dot)com.
i'd love to hear from a leefer. y'all pretty.

in other news, i have a new business partner.

mike jones is releasing the follow up to the 2006 release "Who Is Mike Jones?"
it's a new album entitled "The Voice."
he doen't know that i want to collaborate with him, but i think i know some people who can put in a good word.
also, if Paul Wall is also reading, i have some phatass beats for you, my friend.

enough of this silly talk.
if you are on break this week, come visit me at uconn.
we're friendly (unless you are mean, then we get ill)

oh canada: a journey in photographs

sometimes you can say the most by saying the least.

turn me up

i'm getting chills.
i constantly feel like i'm naked on a cold day.

it's not a bad thing. i feel like a different person recently. i'm just doing everything i want to be doing, and i really love all my friends. (even the hard-to-love types.)
still, i want to fuck something up. i want a change. i want a haircut.

i hope i'm not getting sick or something.
i guess i'm just tired of the mundane things in the world. not the chores, just the unamusing backdrop in which we play out our lives.
the media and the internet are conspiring to make us boring people. every day, we are told what to watch, to listen to, to buy, and are we supposed to ignore it? give in? accept the lowest common denominator and buy the latest trends. buy little toys that make us drift farther and farther apart.

1850: two friends meet in a bar and share a few beers and laughs.
1900: two friends sit in their homes and have a telephone conversation.
1999: two friends send e-mail and pictures to each other.
2009: two people sit in their homes, clicking through pictures of each other, occasionally leaving amusing 2 to 4 sentence "comments." they can monitor each other's lives through a constantly updating feed. they are "friends."

i hate it.

seriously, people don't even pick up their phone anymore. they just text back to say "you called?"
i can't really imagine anything more smug and lazy.

ultimately, this post has a happy ending.

i have friends who will drop what they're doing and go to montreal. i have friends who i run into at shows without planning to. i have friends who i speak to on the phone because i like the sound of their voice.

it's a test, ladies and gentlemen, and it's not a hard one. you only need to stop being a lazy, smug asshole, and leave your room. i have too many delusions of rebellion already, and if you deprive me of it anymore, i think i'm going to explode.

just look out the window, and you can see the people living. hollywood.

i am now at uconn, working on a philosophy paper, and my car is probably getting towed.

don't judge me too hard on this one, leefies. i read a post by anders, and i needed to second the plea. expect to see me sitting in the crosswalk, offering to clean people's windows for spare change.
-Jizzy T

montreal ahoy

i'm leaving for montreal tomorrow.
expect a more interesting post upon my return.

until then, let me satiate your hunger for beaf with this little number.

i worked on an english paper for 5 hours last night.
i'm almost done.

also:

anders is right, memes are fucking stupid and must be destroyed.
you see any shitty memes in this blog?
nah, son. nah.

also:

my pal victoria will be contributing to LAST MUSIC as soon as she stops being lazy.
fans of music: expect great things.

au revoir, bitches
